Two Years in New Zealand
Oh hi there, it’s been a while… Almost three years since I last updated this blog, wow. This post is long overdue but better late than never, right? Soooo where have I been?
Oh hi there, it’s been a while… Almost three years since I last updated this blog, wow. This post is long overdue but better late than never, right? Soooo where have I been?
In 2018 I spent nine months backpacking around Asia. Although I have already shared my travel diaries from every country, I also really wanted to do one big post summarising this trip (before the new year starts and brings a completely new adventure 😀 ). So here we are, looking back at my backpacking trip one more time. Plus, I am finally sharing exactly how much money I spent in each country! After all, that’s probably the number one question…
Finally, Bali. The last destination of my 2018 Asia trip. I ended up staying in Bali for two months and even though I was basically living there rather than travelling, I still managed to see quite a few places and had some awesome experiences on this Indonesian island. I am by no means a Bali expert but if you are looking for some inspiration for your Bali itinerary, here’s my Bali diary!
It has already been a year since I went to Myanmar (where did the time go?!) but I want to have the series of my travel diaries from Asia complete so here we are. 🙂 Myanmar surprisingly became one of my favourite countries in the world so I’m excited to finally share this part of my travel diary with you. If you are curious what I did in this truly unique Southeast Asian country, grab a cup of tea and…
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that besides posting all kinds of travel tips and guides I also have my travel diary section where I tell you everything I did and and saw in each country I visited. So even though I have already written a few articles about Singapore and Malaysia, it seems appropriate to also give you the whole breakdown of my travel itinerary for these two countries.
Cambodia. My fourth Southeast Asian country after Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. I spent over three weeks in Cambodia which was enough time to fall for its people and culture. Here’s the itinerary of my trip to Cambodia! The good news is, you don’t really need three weeks to see everything I did – my itinerary also included a lot of rest, both voluntary and involuntary…
2018 was definitely the most exciting year of my life (so far). I finally went on a big solo backpacking trip after quitting my London job and travelled around Asia for nine months. I experienced so many things, met so many people and saw so many beautiful places it’s hard to tell you about all of it. But we all like to summarise at the end of every year so I have browsed through my travel diaries and put together the…
After five months of my solo journey I found myself back in Southeast Asia. I headed from China to Laos, a country often overlooked by its seemingly more attractive neighbours – Thailand and Vietnam. Wondering how I spent over three weeks here? Read my Laos itinerary!
It has been a while since I last published a travel diary post. The last part of my travel diary was all about South Korea. From there, my journey continued to Hong Kong and China. China is huge so I only managed to see a small part of the country despite spending six weeks there. This was my China itinerary:
Another part of my travel diary is here! My backpacking journey continued from Japan just across the sea to South Korea. South Korea seems to be a country many people skip but that’s a shame! Here’s my South Korea itinerary:
